Rock Cats Highlights The Rock Cats are set to begin another road trip, their only multiple city road trip in the month of May. New Britain begins the six game voyage in Portland, Maine and then shifts south to Manchester, New Hampshire. The Cats’ will play a ton of home games in the month of May so with the weather getting better hopefully, you all will get a chance to come out to New Britain Stadium. Winning Homestand The boys have been playing well and went 4-3 on their last homestand, winning two of three against Richmond and splitting a four game set against Harrisburg. New Britain finished the month of April with a 13-12 record. The Cats’ secured a winning month with Monday’s 16-8 victory against Harrisburg. Knowing the Sea Dogs Well The Rock Cats begin a stretch of seven games in 10 days against the Portland Sea Dogs. After playing three games in Southern Maine this weekend the Cats will host the Dogs next week in the Hardware City. So far, Portland has won both series and 5 of the 7 games this year. Twins GM on the trip Minnesota Twins General Manager Terry Ryan is on the current road trip with the Rock Cats. He always comes to watch the Rock Cats twice during the season. He has an early trip in April and then will visit again later as he does his usual evaluation. It is always great catching up with him and having him on the Rock Cats Radio pregame show. Fox Sports Radio 1410 Adds Road Games to Broadcasting Schedule The Rock Cats are thrilled to announce that Fox Sports Radio 1410 is now broadcasting all Rock Cats’ games home and road. As many of you know, AM 1410 was the Hartford affiliate for the New York Yankees over the past several years and now the flagship station for the Cats. Last year, Fox sports carried most of the home games but will now air each game live. In addition, fans in Middletown and down by the shoreline can catch the road games on WMRD AM 1150 and WLIS AM 1420. As usual, all games will be streamed on-line on www.foxsportsradio1410.com.
