This is an exciting time at MHS as we once again return to a school which houses 7th through 12th grades. For the past fifteen years, seventh and eighth graders who lived here attended Burks. Now those students are part of the high school world. As Carter Charlton notes, "We are the first seventh graders in this school." We asked a few of his seventh grade classmates their thoughts on life here at MHS...

What do you like about being a seventh grader at MHS?

"...that we get to spend all six years here. It's scary, but I'm not worried."--Ayrianna Kiral "...how you can eat outside."--Morgan Jones "I like the freedom that we have here."--Logan Davis "I like how we get vending machines and also how we have phone privileges."--Kimberly Lopez "We get to be in new clubs."--Citlalli Cortez "I like that we can go from place to place by ourselves." --Avery Oakes "...that the high schoolers include us like in drama club, yearbook, S.A.D.D., and more."--Tomas Sebastian

We also asked seventh grade about their goals for the school year. Here are some responses: "Do all my homework."--Elijah Bean "Finish all the books I start."--Citlalli Cortez "I want to play basketball with a high schooler in a scrimmage."--Jordyn Walker
