Sabrine is a first-generation Caribbean-EthiopianAmerican student at Temple University. She is pursuing a major in Genomic Medicine with a minor in Information-Data Science on a Pre-Med
Track. In her first year, Sabrine's exceptional abilities and dedication have earned her a place among a select group of 8 science and technology scholars, who are generously supported by the National Science Foundation.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Sabrine is a technically trained dancer, having mastered more than six different styles over the course of 13 years. Her passion for dance extends beyond a mere hobby, as she actively competes and dedicates her free time to this expressive art form.
In addition to her commitment to dance, Sabrine has also dedicated herself to helping disadvantaged women and children. For over nine years, she has volunteered with nonprofit organizations such as the American Association of University Women and Angel Wings Ministries, providing support and assistance to those in need.
ASabrine's roots trace back to Princes Town, Trinidad, where her paternal grandparents and father hail from Her mother, on the other hand, was born and raised in Ethiopia, and serves as a significant source of inspiration in Sabrine's life. Embracing and preserving her blended culture and traditions with grace is of utmost importance to Sabrine. 6
Sabrine's bright intellect, exceptional talent, and unwavering determination are qualities that set her apart. She aspires to pave the way for more women of color in the field of STEM, serving as a role model and advocate for diversity and inclusion.
