Monika Petersen was educated in England, at St. Martins College of Art and Design, where she specialised in illustration. After graduating, she worked in London for many years, before returning home to Copenhagen. Monika has her own shop by the name of Monika Petersen Art Prints at Gunløgsgade 7A Islands Brygge.
