50th Anniversary Gala Dinner Celebration Saturday 28 October 2017
This is a momentous event for the patrol - 50 years of volunteer service protecting and rescuing alpine visitors. Everyone is welcome. On Saturday 28 October 2017 from 6:30pm to 11:30pm a Formal Black Tie Dinner will be held at Dockside, Darling Harbour Sydney. The cost is $135 per head, which includes dinner and beverages. Tickets are available on-line, but don’t leave it too late! Presentations to Volunteer Ski Patrollers granted the Australian
National Medal for service will take place on the night. The National Medal is an Australian award given for long service by operational members of eligible organisations. It was introduced in 1975, as an original component of the new Australian honours system. The eligible organisations have in common that their members serve or protect the community
at the risk of death, injury or trauma, and therefore it is only available to members of these organisations who are operationally deployed. For more information on the
