• MOm / The Hellenic Society for the Study and Protection of the Monk Seal, is a national Greek non-governmental environmental organization with legal status as a Non-Profit Association (Ministry Decision no. 1059/1988 of First Instance of Athens) and with systematic financial auditing by SOL A.E.O.E (Certified Public Accountants - Auditors). • MOm was founded in 1988 and has since maintained a continued presence nationally and internationally as one of the most active and reliable NGOs in Greece. • From 1996 MOm is a member of IUCN (The International Union for Conservation of Nature), the largest organization for the protection of the natural environment in the world • MOm is a recognized scientific institution (Protocol number: 89670/1427/12-3-2007 / Code: GR 003) in accordance with the CITES Convention. • Today, MOm has more than 8,500 supporters in Greece and abroad.
