Making hay, the old fashioned way

Making hay, the old fashioned way

by Debbie Tucker

At Higher Biddacott Farm on the edge of Chittlehampton, Jonathan Waterer guides his team of four handsome heavy horses to turn the hay, leaving a dusty haze in the wake of their hooves. This traditional rural scene was captured by Exmoor photographer Debbie Tucker for our photo of the month. “I love watching such majestic horses doing what they are made for,” said Debbie. “It was a privilege for Jonathan and Fiona Waterer to invite me to take photos of them working on the farm.”

“I have always had a passion for photography. Being brought up on Exmoor there was always something you wish you had a camera for!” You can see more of Debbie’s photography and buy prints from her Facebook page Debbie Tucker Photography, and to find out more about Waterers Working Horses go to: heavy-horses.net
