Plan for new ‘otter hospital’
The UK Wild Otter Trust, based just outside Kings Nympton, has launched an appeal to raise funds to build a new ‘otter hospital’.
Founder Dave Webb said, “We currently have six indoor cub rooms, which unfortunately isn’t enough for the numbers of young otters we’re treating.”
“Having this additional space is vital to give rescued cubs the best chance of rehabilitation and release back into the wild.”
They’re appealing for help raising the funds needed to build the new facility, after a local company offered the materials at a discounted rate of £2,000.
