Molton Monthly is a North Devon Biosphere Business Partner, helping to promote sustainability, and this is its latest initiative. The magazine is printed in Saltash, near Plymouth, by Deltor who use solar energy to power their presses.
Business development director Anneliese Shannon says, “Deltor Green is a recycled paper produced from high quality wood chips, recycled household waste and cellulose. The satin surface offers better letter readability with a pleasant surface feel. It is fully recyclable and is both FSC and PEFC approved.”
“My home office is powered using renewable energy supplied by Bulb, Deltor use solar power and now this new carbon neutral paper is a major improvement in sustainability for Molton Monthly magazine,” said editor and publisher Peter Robinson.
Deltor has also just invested in the latest printing press technology to further improve efficiency.

Peter Robinson added, “I keep the print run really tight. We have 5,000 copies to deliver and there are, at most, single figures left over each month so there’s very little waste.”
The new Deltor Green paper is certified with the conservation charity the World Land Trust (logo page 63), an organisation founded in 2005 to protect the world’s most threatened and precious habitats.
