99 not out, cricket club seeks new players as it heads towards century
Filleigh Cricket Club are building up to their centenary season next year, and are looking for new players to join their team, who play their home matches in the picturesque surroundings of Deer Park on the Castle Hill Estate (above).

They have recently appointed a new management committee in both the senior and junior sections, and say great strides have already been made with the younger players, benefiting from fresh energy and ideas and a dedicated coaching team.

“The hard work continues this season with a focus on the men’s teams and the allnew women’s and girl’s teams,” said club secretary Pete Buckley.
“Now there will be cricket available for everyone in the area who wishes to play, regardless of ability or experience.”
As they head towards their ‘century milestone’ the club says it will not only be celebrating past members and achievements, but will be looking ahead to the future of cricket in North Devon.
