Welcome to the June edition of Molton Monthly. It’s hard to believe we’re already approaching Midsummer’s Day after the wet, windy and positively wintry month we’ve had in May. Also coming up this month is the next scheduled relaxation of the Coronavirus restrictions.

June 21st is the date the country is expected to return largely to ‘normal’ following the various stages of lockdown. However, with the so-called ‘Indian Variant’ of Covid-19 (did you know, it’s actually called B.1.617.2) currently experiencing a surge in several parts of England, it’s possible the Prime Minister might have to put the brakes on his ‘roadmap’.

So here in Devon, health chiefs are once again urging us to be cautious, and to take advantage of the free, twice-weekly Coronavirus tests (see pages 18-19).
