‘Friday Fitness Frenzy at Hunter Caldwell’

After a break for the holidays, there was no easing back into training on Friday, with Coach Rich Keniry (Right) hosting the annual beep test during this weeks session. For those that may not be familiar with the beep test, it involves continuous running between two lines, set 20m apart, in time to recorded beeps. The test is used to estimate an athletes aerobic capacity. There are 21 levels, with level one commencing at an approximate pace of 8km/hr, increasing to 9km/hr for level two and then increasing 0.5km/hr for every level after. Rich enjoys hosting the beep tests atleast once or twice throughout the soccer season. It’s fantastic to see players, coaches and parents get involved, and even some younger siblings too!. Well done to everyone who participated, and pushed themselves to improve on previous results change. Both have been avid bowlers in the Brag comp and always brought laughter to the greens. Hope to see you back in Molong, you have both been great advocates for our wonderful town and will be missed. Hope you have a few spare rooms for the visitors when they come knocking on your door.

We are excited to be hosting more home games this coming Saturday. The weather forecast is looking good. We hope to see lots of supporters on the sidelines, cheering our teams on, and supporting the club by purchasing from our canteen. A coffee cart will also be at Hunter Caldwell for your convenience.

Congratulations to Alex who was awarded player of the week for Under 6 Phoenix. It’s lovely to see such big smiles on the players, and the joy they get each week playing on field with their friends. Well done, Alex.

A big yahhhh for the day to the Shed World crew, Welby, Simon Wright and Darrin Whalan who gave up their Saturday morning and moved the playground equipment back for us in no time. When we have sponsors like Shed World who make a big job into a quick job, thanks don’t go far enough. A huge job made easy when you have the right gear.
