From this pool, I’ve singled out the album lines that provide the very best quality per dollar spent. So whatever your album needs, we will get you the absolute best value for your memories. Of course, there IS a cheaper alternative and that’s to do it yourself. There’s a myriad of web sites you can use to create your own albums and if you have the time and talent and are happy with the quality, then I encourage you to go for it. But, if you don’t have the time or talent, (which is why most photos are on sitting on hard drives, various devices, or forgotten in boxes!) then you definitely want to check out our custom-designed albums. Please note: One thing that we strongly discourage is storing your print photos in traditional magnetic (self-adhesive) albums. Sorry to tell you that these magnetic albums, so popular over the years and still sold in craft stores, are not a safe home for your photos! The paper used in these albums is acid-based and is combined with an adhesive and type of plastic that destroys printed media. On the other hand, the advantages of our digitally designed albums are: •

Special Occasion Albums First, a note… One of the biggest reasons for wanting an album is to commemorate a special occasion, and for that, most people want something a cut above. Unfortunately, in the past, this has limited them to the often expensive options offered from a photographer. But this is changing! Traditionally, photographers charged a very low fee for a sitting or to shoot an occasion and then made it up by greatly marking up the output: most notably for prints and albums. But today, more and more photographers are offering a more transparent pricing model where the photographer charges fairly for their time and talent in shooting the event, but then makes the images available to the client to do what they wish with. This allows the client to shop for the best value for their albums and prints, (or use them in other projects such as Fusion Videos or Photo Wall Art), while allowing the photographer to concentrate on what they do best: capturing the best moments of your special occasion. Knowing this, if you’re involved with the planning of a special event, make sure to ask the photographer if they will provide your images (and the digital rights) to you on flash drive or CD. If they will, I encourage you to let us know what you have in mind and then ask for a quote. If we decide to work together, we will custom design your album to your unique event while getting you the very best value for your dollar.

Digital Scrapbooks Your photos tell your stories, but sometimes those stories are made far richer when combined with other mementos.. .
For example, for a “coming of age” for your child, you certainly want to include their best photos from infancy on, but wouldn’t it be wonderful to also include their artwork, recital programs, awards, sports trophies, etc? For seniors, adding old letters to their photos can really enhance the stories they tell.

Thin Wraps A Thin Wrap is a print on your choice of Lustre or Metallic Paper. The lab then over-laminates the image with a soft satin laminate or a glossy laminate.
The resulting product is then wrapped on a board, with or without a foam layer (Softop) in between the print and the board. For a striking effect, there is a spacer applied to the back of the ThinWrap, which allows the image to be hung and appear to float from the wall. Available in 15 sizes from 8 x 8 to 24 x 36.

But in the technology rich, mobile world we live in today, our stories are being forgotten. Our families are often scattered across the country and technology has made old fashioned letter writing far more rare. It’s time to get those stories recorded and those legacies preserved. But where do we start? Well interestingly, some of the best generators of stories is our photos: who was in them, what was going on and and the feelings we had. And today, you don’t even need a tape recorder or a fancy video camera - you can simply use the camera app on any smartphone to record either audio or video.

About In my role as “the family historian” early on I developed a real enjoyment of burying myself in my family’s old photos, and the creative side of me started to kick in with designing really cool ways to share those memories. I started Your Memories At Hand© to help individuals and families with all facets of their media – what I call DORPS: Digitize, Organize, Restore & Preserve. However, it’s the “S” (for Stories) that is at the heart of what I do: helping individuals, families & communities to tell their stories through their photos, video and film. At the same time, given that I’ve been self-employed for over 30 years, I recognized that while families have stories to tell, so do small businesses. Unfortunately, most marketing firms are geared toward big companies with prices that are out of reach for the small business. And while do-it-yourself web services are great for business cards and brochures, there is precious little else that tells your business story in a cost-effective way. So, in 2014, I launched Your Biz Story Told© to help small businesses and individual entrepreneurs showcase their company’s products and services in a cost effective way. A little about my background: I spent 15+ years in real estate as a practitioner, broker and team manager culminating with the founding of the Accredited Consultant in Real Estate® (ACRE) Course and Coaching program, an innovative training program for real estate professionals that focused on providing services and getting paid from a consultative model. I’m the author of two real estate books and a co-author of a third. On a personal note, I’m truly multi-geographic, having been born in Florida (of Boston-bred parents) and raised in Texas. I attended school in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi before coming to the Boston area in 1979. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Radio, Television and Film from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from Northeastern University in Boston. I live with my husband Steve in Framingham, MA. We have two sons, Jeff and Dan, daughter-in-law Anna, granddaughter April, grandson Gavin, and a very cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Brewster.
