GRADUATION PROJECT [TINY HOUSES] One of the fundamental projects on the globe is housing, knowing people needs, observing their budgets, their comfort, reaching details, to help get them in an easy life, not only to survive, but to live the life which they deserve.

Site design The idea was to design and create an environment to complete the necessecities of the residences so that they can live their lives inside this community well and easy, finding some places around for reading, playing and creative activities. The site choosed to be in Amman specificly in Al-Abdali, which can be considered as the heart of Amman city. Greens and trees gives the life to the location, it provides the idintity to the resedince, and hospitality to the guests as well as the residence.

Sun analysis Street orientation was perfect for sun system, I provided pergolas between units which creates a shaded area for pedestrians between houses, it also reduces tempreture in summer on this location, green shrubs planted along the house gives the privacy for spaces for each house.

10

[Graduation project] The orientation helped house units to get sun light from morning to night equally because of the angled orientation.

The ideas started to come by, I found it clever to make prototypes, so I made the houses in 3 types: 1. 5x5 [25 sqm] [which was a challenge to design] 1. 5x7 [35 sqm] 1. 7x7 [49 sqm}

[Graduation project]

7x7 sections ▲ Man cave - the places to be alone for reading, studying, writing, even thinking, it provides the fourth dimension for the home, it provides the creative side of the

home, creating these kind of spots gives lift for the house from being a house to be an independent home.

Artificial touches bring the “wow” factor to the viewr it helps to create a stable form and proportions to the space.

Simple designed facade to be able to blend with Amman style houses. 18

Concept

One of the reasons I choosed this topic as my project is our problem in laws of housing which denid to buy a land for building a house under 250sqm, so the solution is to present this housing to investors to make it come real, and possible, so that middle class people can afford and own their homes, which help them to look after their careers and produce progression to the society.

DE STIJL [THE MURAL] The whole idea started with a new kind of art called (Pixel art), it was so deco to Mughrabi to produce a piece like it, but in an artistical way to get both benifits, glamorous look, and valueable piece of art. After studying looking for what kind of art holds that artistical value, I rememberd a painting which has a huge modern taste created in a movement which produced modern art hundred years ago, and it was a fantastic painting from such a genius modern artists (Piet Mondrian) who could abstract the reality -as what he done with the treeinto three main colours (CMY), and only horizontal and vertical lines, any other diagonal lines were rejected and has not been used in his 40

paintings. And after thinking about what kind of art can be produced, I came up with a 3D sculpture inspired by (De Stijl). It tooks a lot of time to consider how the shapes and hights look for each piece of color, the spots in red color here, the sports in blue there, but finaly I came up with a balanced borderless shape which could simulate the painting not perfectly as it is, but at least in a good way to satisfy us.

[De Stijl - The Mural]

41

Sketches The composition started with three base shapes : - Small square (unit) - Big square (4 units) - Rectangle (3 linear units) The idea behind the composition it self was to find a balanced shape with a clear center.

INTERIOR DESIGN [RJGC - CONFERENCE ROOM REDESIGN] About RJGC Based on the country’s need for a national institution, which will be responsible for conducting all kinds of surveying (terrestrial, air and space) for the purposes of the preparation of all types of maps in using local and international standards to meet the needs of the Kingdom, and to provide services in these areas at the local and regional levels, came the foundation of the Royal Jordanian Geographic Center (RJGC) in the second half of 1975, as the first scientific institution specialized of its kind in the region. 56

Perspectives The conference room for the general manager of the RJGC located in Amman AlJubieha near the ministry of higher education and scientific research.

The color scheme needed to be neutral to present serious and general expression to the space.

INTERIOR DESIGN [CLINIC OFFICE] White office furniture with simple modern style can pleases the eye so it was the choice to design the clinic office.

60

Perspectives Wide spaces are important to this kind of places, it support comfort and cleanliness for patients who visit the clinic. Everything is well arranged, tidy and organized.

61

Perspectives

[Interior design]

Being modern, simple, and straight forward are the keys to have functional spaces with factor of freedom. Neutrals can also release the feel of spaces, they are like white canvas which can hold whatever color you would like to add later on. Clinic reception - waiting area/ lobby

Point of view For me interior design is the life style and theme for the internal spaces, it is indispensable for living, Interior designer can handle the feeling of spaces, the joy of colors, and the use of patterns and artifical elements within the available spaces.

[Interior design] The color theory of interior designer is the main subject that people can judge him through, if he is qualified as designer or not. How functional the space became also important for a client to decide whether it is acceptable for the space to be lived or not.

So it is considered as the process of designing the interior , often including the exterior, of a room or building. An interior designer is someone who coordinates and manages such projects. Interior design is a multifaceted profession that includes conceptual development, communicating with the stakeholders of a project and the management and execution of the design. He is the doctor of architectural spaces who heals problems and treat them geometrically and technically with his touch of art.

63

COLOR THEORY [NEUTRALS] Neutrals are my choice to design interior spaces, people always ask me, why do you stick with this range of colors? Well, it is about getting bored of the colores appears on the color wheel, or using shades of black and dark colors, it is not something that we want to live with all the time. So that neutrals [like whites, creams, beige colors] are good colors to be in, they make you feel much more relaxed, happy with the environment. The spaces were you can use colors are with the accenting stuff and objects, such as a coffee table in the center of the room, or a nice colored rug, or some sort of pretty cushins 64

curtains, or lighting shades, the are the only way for me to bring colors in a room.
