The Japanese word RIN means an appearance that is stunning, elegant and courageous. It also means a single flower - in a way, the chair looks like a flower standing still. I thought this relates to the image of RIN chair.
My first idea was to make a beautiful chair that stimulates and awakens emotions. Therefore, I have established something poetical, simple, strong, relaxed and innovative all at the same time. The goal from the beginning was to create the perfect chair.
My chair should radiate a sophisticated, simple beauty that people will experience when sitting in the chair - a chair is not just a form.

The idea is to create a new type of chair that is in harmony with Japanese and Danish design traditions. The chair is elegant with a very innovative and progressive design. Hiromichi Konno is a Japanese designer with an international touch. He has studied both in Japan and Sweden and also lived in London for many years.
