WATERFALLS IN ANCASTER Less than an hour west of the city is the wonderful world of waterfalls, housed in the Hamilton area. There’s dozens to experience but if you want to double down on one trip, Tiffany Falls and Sherman Falls pair well. Start with Tiffany Falls and if you’re of a certain age, play “I Think We’re Alone Now” during the closing stretch of the drive. The parking lot comes up quickly so keep an eye on your GPS as you approach. Parking is a flat $5.00 and absolutely worth it for the experience. Once parked, you’ll stroll for about 10 to 15 minutes through the grounds, across two small bridges and reach a raised viewing platform where you can gaze upon the waterfall as it cascades against the backdrop of bedrock exposures. The 21 metre cascade waterfall makes for a great screen background on your digital Device. As it’s a short walk from the car, it’s idea for kids and you won’t get the “I’m tired…carry me, are we there yet?” choruses.
