FREE. The final frost date has passed and now it’s time to plant the gardens and crops that will help the farm family pay their bills and survive the winter to come! Meet farmers from the year 1908 and help them plant their fields and gardens; meet the farm tools and equipment that made farming easier and more productive in the early 20th century; and find out what life was like on a Montgomery County Farm in the year 1908, when the big white farmhouse was completed! Discover how the County, family life, what we eat, and how we grow it has changed over the past 112 years. This is a great, immersive program for scouts, community groups, families, AND individuals, as all hands are welcome and appreciated in the work of caring for a farm!
