BOARD UPDATES...

RECORDS KEEPER - JAN EKERT

The Indoor is complete and I have finally tallied all of the records. There were 15 new records shot at the Indoor, it is a lot of fun to recognize new names as well as see many names from years gone by. That tells me is that we are still the number one organization that Archers look to for events that are fun to attend and that gives them an opportunity to compete against others of the same caliber.

The one thing I have noted in looking at scorecards is some shooters continue to be confused over the class they shoot or are not aware of the acronyms that are to be used. I know that these are sent to the Clubs that are hosting the event, but I am asking you as shooters to check your cards for the correct acronym. If you are not sure ask someone for help in choosing the correct class. Another reminder that if you are shooting towards the Grand Champion, you must shoot the same class at each event and your age category/class is your age as of January 1. A suggestion I will make that when a club is hosting an event that the MSAA can provide the host Club with a list that can be posted to try and lessen any confusion.

I will do my best to try and Keep things current and get your award certificates to you at the shoots this summer. Make sure that you check with me or at the MSAA table to pick them up. I still have many award certificates that I brought to the indoor that were not picked up.

Shoot Good and look forward to seeing many of you at the outdoor events.

So far in 2023 MSAA is doing well financially with a great turnout for both Regionals and the Indoor match.

The Duluth Archery Club did a great job on the Indoor Championship and raised significant funds for their club. It ran very smoothly thanks to their hard work.

A special shout-out to Leann Boes as she did a great job on the Indoor financial report and balanced the books to the penny! Thanks Leann it was a pleasure working with you!!!!

Happy Spring! It is so good to know that warmer weather is upon us and summer shoots are drawing near. Registrations continue to trickle in, which is great! We are up to 664 members as of the beginning of May. Please remember to keep us notified of any address changes or updates to your membership. Our information is only as good as it is reported to us. We greatly appreciate your help with keeping our records current.
