How to make the education inclusive: students with special needs

1. Introduction The course “How to make the education inclusive: students with special needs” is designed to assist teachers' schools in providing appropriate education for students with special educational needs. In this case, the course is focused on the use of arts, music and game as tools and methodologies to be used inside the inclusive education and to assist teachers in employing improved methods of teaching and conducting classes. Sending partners: educational organizations involved in formal, non – formal and informal learning: schools, adult training centers, resources centers and other relevant organizations active in the school, youth and adult education field established in Erasmus program countries. Participants: 10 – 15 participants involved in education. Course fee: According to the Erasmus guide, 70 euros per training day. Ask for other expenses such as: accommodation, transfer, cultural activities, visit to Barcelona and meals. Duration: 20 hours Language used: English and Spanish. Profile of the participants The participants are teachers, adult trainers or responsible active in the sending organizations interested in knowing new dynamics methodologies and tools to teach languages Objectives •Understand the basic principles and facts of inclusive education •Acquisition of skills to implement new methodologies and tools on classroom: art, music and games •How to use art, music and games to its full potential for teaching and pedagogical value for students with special needs •Be capable of generate a positive learning experience for students with special needs

2. Methodology The course will base learning on solving activities or practical cases proposed during the lessons. The teacher will guide trainees and will help them solving any kind of issue arisen during the learning process. The teacher will also provide constant feedback. Moreover, the teacher will check that all participants reach the pedagogical objectives and develop the expected professional skills. The course evaluation will be continuous and personalized, according to the course program. In any case, there will be a test to assess the learning outcomes. We will create an atmosphere in which students like to learn, teachers like to teach and all like to work together.

4. Training Course Structure Details The duration of the structured training course is 20 hours from Monday to Friday with both theoretical and practical contents. The aim is to reflect the new knowledge gained, apply it in practice, and exchange ideas and best practices with the other participants and the trainer. The participants will also plan in group work about how they will pass on the new knowledge to the staff of their organisations which is not present in the training (personal knowledge transfer, providing eLearning resources to the colleagues and the organization, etc.). Registration We kindly ask you to pre-register on time for the training course. The preparation for the training and journey can only be started after the written confirmation of M&M Profuture Training, S.L. for the registration and the transfer of all due amounts such as course fees. The organizer reserves the right to carry out the course only if a minimum of 10 people have registered and transferred the fees for the course. Course Venue, Travel and Accommodation The course will take place in the Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona) or in the city center of Barcelona depending on the availability of classrooms.
