Web tools and techniques for managing projects Dates: September – October 2016 (5 training days) The way teams manage project can vary significantly depending on their ways of working, but even then it tends to follow a predictable path. You may prefer structured projects with a strict sequential pipelining like engineering and construction or event-chain projects such as product launchings, or possibly exploratory projects with decision points spread across phases such as clinical trials and research studies. Outdoor training: learning by real experience (natural environment) Dates: 17 to 21 October (5 training days) With this course we want to improve teachers/trainers’ skills to reconnect the teaching/learning activities to the natural environment and to transfer this to their daily school actions. Offering this kind of activities we want to make them aware of the benefits of outdoor education and the availability of nature as a knowledge resource. Our methodology is based on ”learning by doing”, combined with “reflection upon action”. The five-day programme will be held in a natural - rural context, forest and meadows. Training of Trainers: new knowledge for a new reality Dates: November - December 2016 (5 training days) Within this training of trainers, course participants will have the chance to further develop their competences as trainers and will be given new skills and knowledge that we consider essential when working as both formal and non-formal education trainers. Cultural Integration of Immigrants Dates: January – February 2017 (5 training days) Immigration has affected many countries nowadays in a high number of different ways. As a consequence of immigration, people are different in significant ways from one another and these differences create both opportunities and challenges. The combined social, economic, political and cultural implications of immigration have frequently been assessed as a whole and also in their discrete parts. Immigration needs a specific challenge to reduce or remove particular differences between newcomers and natives. This is what is meant by immigrant integration. It is a need to offer knowledge and develop skills to make real the integration.

Offering this kind of activities we want to make them aware of the benefits of outdoor education and the availability of the city as a knowledge resource. Students will explore the history, natural environment, legends and places of Barcelona thanks to excursions, thematic workshops, stories and games. If students do not learn how to speak or do not get any opportunity to speak in the language classroom they may soon get de-motivated and lose interest in learning. On the other hand, if the right activities are taught in the right way, speaking in class can be a lot of fun, raising general learner motivation and making the English language classroom a fun and dynamic place to be.

Creativity and innovation in teaching and learning for a better classroom Dates: May – June 2017 (5 training days) Creativity and innovation is the essence of teaching and learning and in order to develop creative learning approaches, it is crucial that teacher will be prepared to become reflective practitioners able to discern how a teaching method or activity can stifle or trigger creativity in their students.

Structured study visits to Schools/VET Institutes/Adult Trainer Centre – Job Shadowing Dates: 2016 - 2017 (5 training days) This programme is carried out in structured training course or job shadowing period of 5 days, during the academic term, when schools, adult trainer centre and VET institutes are in full operation to show the vibrancy of their daily life and operation. In fact, the programme efficiently combines pedagogic visits to schools and institutes, with structured training activities. The study visit will provide opportunities for teachers and other adult staff from throughout Europe to have a choice of visiting primary, secondary, vocational and adult lifelong learning schools with specific organizational concepts to promote high quality in teaching and learning; meeting and interacting with teachers, head teachers, experts and advisors; experience a powerful and unique school culture, observe innovative and collaborative learning, network, etc.
