April meeting: Last Thursday saw the Mount Morgan Pensioners and Superannuates League hold the April meeting at the Mount Morgan School of Arts. The meeting saw discussion and early preparations commence for Mount Morgan’s 2013 Senior Week Celebrations; set to be held during August. We look forward to providing the community with further details on this event in the upcoming weeks. Membership and meetings: We are always eager to welcome new members to our group. If you are a pensioner or self-funded retiree, and would be interested in becoming a member, please feel free to come along to our next meeting.

Happy birthday to local resident, Margaret Sealy, who celebrated her 65th birthday on March 30th. Pictured, the birthday gal enjoys her birthday celebrations, held last month at the Cambridge Hotel.

Meetings are held monthly on the second Pension Thursday of each month - 12:30pm at the School of Arts Hall. Meetings are then followed by an afternoon tea and social from 1:30pm. Happy birthday to John Ramm, who celebrates his 60th birthday on the 18th of April!

Don’t forget, this year sees some exciting changes – with the official opening for the festivities taking place on the Friday evening (May 3rd) at the Mount Morgan Dam!

Love and best wishes, Rhonda, Nathan, Kevin & Family & Mum.

This is set to include children’s rides, live entertainment, fireworks and much more. We are also pleased to announce that the winners of the MMPAD Pride in your Town Community Awards will be announced during the evening. We hope you are all eager to help us see the Mount Morgan Dam shine bright for the Friday celebrations, and provide a personalised lantern!
