Wray is professionally engaged in NCTM, serving on the board of directors. He also served on the editorial panels of Teaching Children Mathematics and ON-Math for NCTM. Named NCTM’s Outstanding Teacher Mentor, he has also been recognized for his expertise in infusing technology in mathematics teaching, receiving the Outstanding Technology Leader in Education award for his school district from the Maryland Society for Education Technology (MSET).
