The need for professionals within the IT Departments of banks, insurance companies, computer companies or multinationals is extensive. You may also be required to design advanced software systems, be the architect of those systems and implement different aspects of the project lifecycle. Another sector that requires IT specialists is the Educational sector. High Schools, Universities and other Tertiary Educational Institutions, as well as other institutions offering learnerships or other “business to business” training have a need for qualified IT Lecturers and Professors. Furthermore you can conduct research at academic institutions in the industry. South Africa’s economic growth, foreign investments and its membership in the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) group of emerging economies, creates a perpetual need for well qualified IT professionals. In addition, the everchanging and everevolving nature of the IT industry in itself ensures a constant demand for new IT experts.
