Power scenario today and tomorrow: India
The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted during the recent World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) that the country's population's energy needs are expected to roughly double over the following two decades.
Article2
Renewable energy and economic development are intertwined
The Entire world has been very concerned about global warming and climate change, which are brought on by heat-producing greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and ozone. All of these things, from unpredictable rain in some locations to unforeseen superstorms, cyclones, or heat waves in others, can have an impact on fragile economies and the weak poor.
Coal crisis & the road to energy security
The extreme heat this year has resulted in a serious energy deficit, especially since coal is the main source, which has had a negative impact on how quickly the economy can recover from the Covid crisis. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that from 413 days between 1981 and 1990 to 600 days between 2011 and 2020, there have been more heatwave days in India. Climate change is said to be to blame for the temperature increase.
Article4
Combating energy crisis
Two major issues currently affect the world: climate change and the energy crisis. The climate issue emerges as frequent natural disasters, flooding, and harsh weather, endangering economies, people's lives, way of life, and the security of food and water. On the other hand, a lack of energy severely interrupts daily living, especially impacting production and factory activities.
