Birkel finished sixth in the 100-meter-dash at the state championships in 2011... also came in fifth in the 200-meter-dash at the 2011 state championships... owns a personal record of 10.87 in the 100-meter-dash and 22.22 in the 200-meter-dash... tallied a 4x100 team record of 43.9 his senior year at Pius X High School... Birkel also won the 100-meter-dash at the All-City Track and Field Meet.

Grant Duffy transfered to Nebraska prior to the start of the 2011 spring semester from the University of Colorado... competed two seasons for the Buffs... ran his 1,500 best of 4:21.40 at the 2009 Jack Christiansen Invitational... posted a personal best in the outdoor 800 meters at the 2010 Mt. SAC Relays with a time of 1:53.85... ran both the Class A 800 and 1,600 meters at the 2008 Nebraska state meet while at Lincoln East High School.

Kyle Craw comes to Nebraska after completing his prep career at McCook High School under Vault Coach Bill Ramsey... came back from ACL surgery his junior year to qualify for the Class B State Meet with a jump of 13-1... produced seven gold medals and a new McCook High school record as a senior.... cleared 15-0 twice his senior season, the second time winning him gold at the Greater Nebraska Athletic Conference Meet... concluded his high school track career with a bronze medal at the 2011 state meet vaulting 14-10 and finishing behind two fellow Husker recruits... was an honor roll student and two-time letterwinner in football... chose Nebraska over Doane, Nebraska-Kearney and Concordia.

Before coming to Nebraska, Ricco Hall competed for Coach Dave Emeott at East Kentwood as an All-State performer... won four individual state titles and helped East Kentwood win its third consecutive Division I team state title... was also named a high school All-American and Mr. Track and Field.

London Hawk comes to Nebraska after a stellar career under Coach Brian Evans at Thornwood High School... finished first at the 2011 Illinois State Championships in the 400, third in the 4x400, and fifth in the 800... finished sixth with a 47.8 split at nationals in 2010... at nationals in 2011 he came in second with a time of 47.1... was also a member of the honor roll.

Craig Driver comes to Nebraska after competing for Coach Shawn Wheelock at Minden High School... claimed the 2011 Class B state pole vault championship... came in second as a junior and third as a sophomore... tied for fifth all-time in the state with a 16-0 pole vault... was a member of the National Honor Society and honor roll and graduated with a 3.98 GPA.
