Machine-Room-Less (MRL) Elevators

The MRL elevators are the type of either hydraulic or traction lifts that do not have a machine room for the elevator. These elevators can travel at speed up to 500 feet per minute.

Geared and Gearless Traction Elevators with Machine Room

Traction elevators are elevated by ropes and are used for mid and high-rise buildings. They move with much higher speeds as compared to hydraulic elevators. Geared traction elevators contain a gearbox which is connected to the motor and drives the wheel that moves the ropes. Gearless traction elevator contains the wheel joined directly to the motor.
