BULLETIN Dr. Bartholomew to serve as VPAA gruber prizes Missouri Valley College has appointed Dr. Diane Bartholomew as vice president of academic affairs. Dr. Bartholomew has been serving as the assistant vice president of academic affairs at MVC since July 2015. As the chief academic officer, Dr. Bartholomew will provide guidance for the academic programs, support and oversight to the faculty and serve as part of the institutional leadership team.

Missouri Valley College 2016 seniors Christina Bautista and Diego Dos Santos received the College’s 2016 Gruber Prizes. Named in honor of the late Professor Dr. Loren C. Gruber, the Gruber Prize is awarded annually by Valley’s Writing Across the Curriculum program to recognize outstanding academic or artistic achievement by junior and senior level students.

fall 2016 enrollment Missouri Valley College’s fall 2016 enrollment is 1,403. Of the 1,403 students currently enrolled at MVC, 598 students are Missouri residents and 237 are international students. The entire student body is made up of students from 44 states and 40 countries. “Our faculty and staff members have worked hard during the summer months to prepare for another great academic year,” said Dr. Bonnie Humphrey, MVC president . “We are excited about our newly renovated dining hall and a new housing option for our students in addition to the one-of-a-kind academic experience we provide our students. It truly is a great day to be a Viking!" The College has celebrated the beginning of the Fall 2016 semester with Convocation Week, which included a student-leader dinner, President’s Office open house, Student Involvement Fair, and more. The goal of the Convocation activities are to welcome freshmen and celebrate academic excellence.

Justin R. Cramer, M.D. | Chief Medical Officer | Missouri Care Inc. | Columbia, Mo. Dr. Justin R. Cramer earned a B.A. and doctor of medicine from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2000. In 2012, he earned a master of business administration with a concentration in healthcare from The George Washington University. Dr. Cramer has served on several boards including the Missouri Telehealth Network and St. Peter School Foundation. He holds professional memberships with the American College of Physician Executives, Missouri State Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Cramer and his wife, Brooke, have two children.
