Lori Langer de Ramirez

MisCositas.com is a web resource that offers materials for teaching world languages and ESL, including: videos, thematic curriculum units, virtual illustrated picturebooks, realia, and more. Lori Langer de Ramirez created MisCositas.com as part of her thesis work in 1996. She holds a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics and a Doctorate in Curriculum and Teaching from Columbia University. She is currently the Director of World & Classical Languages and Global Language Initiatives at the Dalton School in New York City. Lori is the author of books on multicultural education as well as Spanish-language books and texts. She has presented workshops and trained teachers at schools and professional conferences both in the US and internationally. She is the recipient of numerous awards, several NEH grants and a Fulbright Award. Her areas of research and curriculum development are multicultural and diversity education, folktales and folklore, and technology in language teaching.
