PRESENTATION of SMG Global Haiti SMG Global Haiti is a limited Company legally constituted, launched in Sept.14, 2012 by social entrepreneurs of various nationalities. SMG is a company known for owning a key bacteriological water treatment method. Its mission is to look for a final solution to the water purification issue in Haiti and consequently, the eradication of cholera. SMG Global Haiti is a winner of the "2013 Business Plan" organized by USAID/PADF under the LEAD project

WHO ARE WE? We are a group of social entrepreneurs from Switzerland, United States and Haiti . We seek to provide a reference company in the domain of bacteriological water treatment in order to provide a solution to the water issues in Haiti and consequently, eradication of cholera. The Bacteriological Treatment Unit (BTU ) aims to address 3 main vectors of vibro cholerae that are: water , fruits and Legumes, from two natural resources : Air and Solar Energy , hence the chemical reaction:( 0 + 02+ E = 03 ) establishing the Ozone . To achieve this goal, we conceived the pilot project from the eradication of cholera program approved by the Ministry of Public Health. The first bacteriological treatment Unit (BTU ) will be installed in port-au- prince, but the ultimate goal is to have a BTU in thirty local municipalities, starting with the most vulnerable and involving collectivities and local organizations.
The Existing Support The physical structure already exists for the installation of the first BTU in Haiti. The total estimated project cost is $ $400,000; however, the founding members have contributed $ 200,000 . The installation of the 1st unit will have an impact on the well being of the vulnerable population and allow a 25% reduction in the rate of cholera in the Metropolitan area. For an assessment of the scope and importance of the first BTU in Haiti, we specify: -SMG Global Haiti won the competition for the best "Business Plan 2013 " organized by USAID/PADF, so the ROI is guaranteed as well as social & financial profitability of the project.
- The Chairman of SMG Global Haiti, Swiss citizen , has already experienced the new technology “the Ozone system” in Switzerland and Mexico. He has twenty years of experience in the field of water purification, including a dozen in the bacteriological water treatment in Mexico, which had similar problems in the years 2000 -The BTU enables the vulnerable people of the population to have access to treated water at the lowest cost, while protecting the market and population stability . There is no structure in Haiti providing the specific service processing fruits and Legumes considered two main vectors of Vibrio cholerae after water; which makes the erection of BTU an innovative , social and profitable project . Thirty municipalities starting with the most vulnerable are concerned by the project in the medium or long term but they all depend on the first bacteriological treatment Unit. SMG intends to make the first BTU, a "Success Story"

NOTRE OBJECTIF Introduire en Haiti la nouvelle technologie de traitement d'eau par l'ozone en vue de combattre le cholera et rendre l'eau accessible à la population a un prix modique . QUI SOMMES-NOUS? Nous sommes un groupe d'entrepreneurs sociaux de nationalité Suisse, Américaine, Haïtienne. Nous avons monté en Haiti une compagnie de référence en traitement bactériologique de l'eau dans le but d'apporter une solution à la problématique de l'eau en Haiti et par voie de conséquence, l’éradication du cholera. L’Unité de traitement bactériologique (UTB) vise à attaquer les 3 principaux vecteurs du vibro cholerea que sont: l'eau, les fruits et les légumes, à partir de 2 ressources naturelles: l'air et l’énergie solaire d'où la réaction chimique: (0 + 02 + E= 03) créant l'Ozone. Pour atteindre cet objectif, nous avons mis en oeuvre le projet pilote émanant du programme d' éradication du cholera approuvé par le Ministère de la Sante Publique. La 1ere Unité de traitement bactériologique (UTB) sera installée à port-au-prince mais l’objectif final est d'avoir une UTB dans une trentaine de collectivités territoriales en commençant par les plus vulnérables et en impliquant les organisations et les autorités locales.
L’existant La structure physique existe déjà pour l'installation de la 1ere UTB en Haiti. .Le coût total du projet est de $400.000; cependant, les membres fondateurs ont déjà contribué à hauteur de $200.000; Nous sommes a la recherche de financement pour la structure technique ( La nouvelle technologie de traitement d’eau par l’Ozone ) dont le coût des Équipements est évalué à $200.000. ci-dessous les coordonnées du fabricant et spécialiste Amir Salama. L'installation de la 1ere Unité de Traitement Bactériologique aura un impact sur le bien être de la population vulnérable et permettra une diminution de 25% du taux de cholera dans l'aire Metropolitaine. Pour une appréciation de l'envergure et de l'importance de la 1ere UTB en Haiti , nous tenons à préciser: -SMG Global Haïti a remporté le Concours du meilleur "Business Plan 2013" organisé par USAID/PADF (document disponible) donc le ROI est garanti aussi bien que la rentabilité financière & sociale du projet. -Le Président du Conseil de SMG Global Haiti, de nationalité Suisse, a déjà expériment la nouvelle technologie ( système de etraitementd’eau par l’ozone) en Suisse et au Mexique. Il à son actif une vingtaine d'années d’expérience dans le domaine de l'eau dont une douzaine dans le traitement bactériologique de l'eau au Mexique, confronté lui aussi à la problématique de l'eau dans les années 2000. -L'UTB permettra à la population vulnérable d'avoir accès à l'eau traitée au moindre coût, tout en protégeant le marché et sa stabilité. Il n'existe en Haïti aucune structure offrant le service spécifique de traitement des fruits et légumes considérés comme 2 principaux vecteurs du vibrio cholerae après l'eau; ce qui fait de l'UTB un projet innovant, social et rentable.
Une trentaine de Municipalités en commençant par les plus vulnérables sont visées à moyen et à long terme par le projet, d'ou son titre: Pilote; cependant, elles dépendent toutes de la 1ere UTB celle qui va conscientiser les acteurs des secteurs Eau, Environnement, Santé. SMG compte faire de la première UTB un "Succès »
