MiraCosta College Driver Training Program The best program in North County To get your driver’s license in the State of California, there are two requirements if you are under 18: 1) Classroom Driver Education and 2) Behind-the-Wheel Driver Training. MiraCosta offers both! Students must be 15 in order to take driver education classes and 15 ½ to take behind-the-wheel training.
OUR PACKAGE DEAL: Sign up for both programs at the same time and pay $345. This is a $28 savings! Individually, Driver Education is $88 and Behind-the-Wheel is $285. Package price for La Costa Canyon High School is $355.

SIX HOURS ONE-ON-ONE TRAINING Students receive six hours of one-on-one instruction in our Behind-the-Wheel Training Program. Convenient after school, evening, and weekend times available. Behind-theWheel Driver Training sessions meet at Carlsbad, El Camino, Rancho Buena Vista, and La Costa Canyon High Schools plus MiraCosta College, Oceanside and MiraCosta College, San Elijo Campus. Adult Driver Training Fee: $315.00 (18 years of age and older)
Six-hours of one-on-one instruction. Lessons consist of three days of training, two hours per day. The instructor will pick you up at your home. You must have a valid California learner’s permit to sign up. You can sign up over the phone with MasterCard, Visa or Discover Card or come in person to the Community Services Office, Bldg. 1000, MiraCosta College’s Oceanside Campus.
