We had an awesome long weekend at Mudgeeraba showground, had the best gift ever to have Donna and Dave join us in the festivities. Happy Birthday Donna!!!! I have only just recovered ... I have also known for some time that I have the bestest friends ever !!

GRANT FROM BENDIGO BANK FOR SHOW MARQUEE..

THE THINGS WE DO… MGBA (Qld) took home $1,500 after successfully pitching their idea (funds for 6x3 Marquee) to the Board of the Bendigo Community Bank, Canungra & District. The evening was like a theatresports event with some very imaginative skits performed. To begin with, we had to build a “marque” out of conduit and gaffer tape, this represented what we were requesting the

Grant for. (pic right ) Tim (Qld Show Manager) dressed up in a full body suit goat costume with collar around his neck and YES, that is a wooden scrubbing brush for a tail - securely held between his cheeks!! He was led across the room and in his best high pitch goat voice he squeaked “hhhotttt, hhhottt, hhhottt”. Crawling on hands and knees to a makeshift marquee, he scuttled under then turned to the audience and said “cooooollll, coooollll, coooollll”.

Needless to say he got a standing ovation once half of the older community in the room, picked themselves up off the floor laughing.

We were very grateful to be one of several groups who shared $6,500 in community grant money on November 18, very generously put up by the Board

of the Bendigo Community

Bank, Canungra & District. Bank Chairperson, Janine Rockliff invited the “MGBA Team” to follow-up with a visit to the Canungra Bendigo Community Bank for a photoshoot with some little miniature goats which was a real hit with the staff and locals December 2.

The goats enjoyed the car ride and very happily cuddled with the crew in the bank, away from the wet weather. We are very grateful to the Bendigo Bank and Board and thank them for their support in our wonderful community.

We are hoping to develop a strong partnership with reciprocating benefits for us all, in the future.

A MASSIVE THANK YOU to Tim for his fantastic, successful 1st GRANT of $1,500 for a new MGBA Qld Show 6 X 3 MARQUEE.
