Routines are important for our WHOLE health.

Routines help when establishing health habits, managing stress, coping with change, and improving focus, memory and motivation.

Your thoughts become your words.

Your words become your actions.

Your actions become your habits.

Your habits become your values.

Your values become your destiny.

This resource suggests helpful routines for you to try. Modify your routine for your life. You may find that sometimes a good day actually begins the night before.

morningRoutine

Wake up earlier than necessary.

Drink a glass of water & make the bed.

Stretch, walk, yoga ...

Meditate, journal, practice mindfulness.

Eat a nutritious breakfast.

Pack snacks & a lunch. Fill water bottle.

Take a shower or get dressed.

Get organized for the day.

evening Routine

Put away the day.

Move your body.

Eat a nutritious dinner.

Do the dishes.

Have a warm beverage.

Call a friend or create something.

Turn down volume & lights.

Read or journal before bed.

sleep routine

Same relative bedtime each night.

Turn down the temperature & lights.

No electronics 2 hours before bed.

Sip a warm beverage & slow down. Research supplements, esp. magnesium.

Avoid caffeine, alcohol & big meals.

Use a sleep mask & get comfy.

Read or journal before bed.
