UTEP ATHLETICS ANNOUNCES STAFF CHANGES Julie Levesque and Chris Park have been added to the UTEP athletics staff, and Daniel Veale has been elevated to Director of Marketing and Promotions. Levesque is serving as Senior Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator, and Park is serving as Associate Athletic Direc ‹ #* tions. Levesque came to El Paso from California Institute of Technology, where she worked in numerous capacities from 19972012. She was Assistant Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator, and spent one year as Interim Director of Athletics (2010-11). Levesque was also the head coach of the Beaver men’s soccer (1997 '''„ K • K ; teams (1997-2012). Levesque’s duties at Caltech were wide range, including serving as administrator for 17 sports, assisting the Director of Athletics in long-range planning for the department, and acting as the department’s NCAA Compliance Coordinator. Park made his way to the Sun City after * @  sistant Athletic Director for Development. A&M, after starting his career as a marketing intern at TCU. Veale has been a member of the UTEP athletic staff for the last three years, working as a marketing and promotions assistant (2009-11) and assistant director of athletic development (2011-12). He served as marketing coordinator for the 2011 Conference USA Basketball Championships in El Paso, created and introduced all social media to UTEP Athletics and spearheaded efforts to increase student participation at all Miner athletic events. He was also cochair of the Minerpalooza, Homecoming and Welcome Back Week events. The El Paso native earned his Masters of Business Administration from UTEP in 2011.

A MESSAGE FROM CHRIS PARK Dear Miner Fans, Hello, my name is Chris Park, the new Associate Athletic Director for Development and External Relations. I wanted to use this edition of Miner Pride to introduce myself and let everyone know how excited I am to be a Min < the job have been amazing, and I am very grateful to all of you who have reached out and made me feel so welcome in the UTEP and El Paso community.
