First-Aid at Travel Kit May mga gamot na kailangan nang bawat pamilya. Puwede itong gamitin bilang first-aid sa bahay o puwede ring ibaon kung ika’y maglalakbay. Heto ang mga gamot na pangkaraniwang ginagamit: 1. Paracetamol 500 mg (6 tablets): Para sa lagnat, uminom ng Paracetamol 500 mg, 1 tableta kada 4 hanggang 6 na oras. Ang Paracetamol ay puwedeng inumin para sa sakit ng ulo o kirot ng katawan. Kung may bata sa bahay, bu-
mili din ng Paracetamol syrup para sa bata at Paracetamol drops para sa sanggol naman. 2. Mefenamic Acid 500 mg (4 capsules): Para sa matinding kirot ng katawan, puwedeng uminom ng Mefenamic Acid 500 mg, 1 capsule 2 o 3 beses sa maghapon. Inumin ang mefenamic acid pagkatapos kumain para hindi humapdi ang tiyan. Umiwas lang sa matagalang pag-inom nito (lampas sa ilang linggo) dahil puwede itong
Army urges Sayyafs to surrender, live peacefully with family PAGADIAN CITY – The Philippine Army has urged Abu Sayyaf terrorists and their supporters to return to the fold of the law and live peacefully with their family instead of fighting the government. Col. Leonel Nicolas, commander of the 102nd Infantry Brigade, made the call after 2 Abu Sayyaf terrorists surrendered recently in Zamboanga Sibugay’s Imelda town. “We continuously encourage terrorist groups and their supporters to surrender and submit themselves to
the folds of the law and become productive citizens,” he said. Lt. Col. Don Templonuevo, commander of the 44th Infantry Battalion, said the duo yielded two Garand rifles when they surrendered in the town of Imelda. Both are natives of Talipao town in Sulu, one of 5 provinces under the Muslim autonomous. They surrendered to the army after escaping military operations in the southern island of Sulu in 2016. “They operated under Sibih Pisih, one of
the notorious leaders of the Abu Sayyaf. Both however sought refuge in Zamboanga Sibugay in 2016. They are now undergoing custodial debriefing,” Templonuevo said. Details of the men’s surrender or what convinced them to yield were not made public by the army, but security forces have launched a massive hunt for the Abu Sayyaf and foreign ISIS fighters hiding in the restive region following a spate of suicide attacks in Sulu and Basilan. Isang paalala lamang: Kapag hindi ginamot ng antibiotics ang namamagang tonsils, puwede itong magdulot ng rheumatic heart disease, kung saan nasisira ang balbula (heart valves) ng puso at puwedeng umabot sa operasyon. 4. Loperamide (3 tablets): Para sa matinding pagtatae, uminom ng 1 o 2 Loperamide capsules. Kumain din ng saging at uminom ng maraming tubig.
5. Loratadine 10 mg (2 tablets): Para sa mga allergies, puwedeng uminom ng Loratadine 10 mg, 1 tableta sa gabi bago matulog. 6. Magbaon din ng inyong regular o maintenance na gamot, tulad ng sa altapresyon, diabetes at sakit sa puso. Kung kayo ay maglalakbay, magdala ng sapat na gamot para hindi kayo maubusan sa ibang bayan. Dalahin din ang inyong medical records. Hindi mo masabi at baka bigla mo itong kailanganin. Good luck po!
