Friends of Milwaukee Montessori School: In 2015 LeBron James, who grew up in Akron, Ohio, made an announcement that he would spend $41.8 million dollars from his foundation to guarantee 1,100 deserving students a four-year scholarship to attend the University of Akron. His motivation? To give back to the community that helped to raise him and realize his dreams and to help young students have an educational vision for themselves past high school. They’re going to have to earn it, but I’m excited to see what these kids can accomplish knowing that college is in their futures." FATHER/SON CAMPOUT Join MMS family Jeff, Asa, and Oliver Kloss as they host several other MMS dads and sons for a fun campout at their house in Menomonee Falls. Dads will talk around the bonfire as the kids play ghosts in the graveyard and other fund games. GUNS AND GRUB Spend the afternoon learning about gun safety and shooting. Meet your squad at the Range of Richfield, just 25 minutes north of MMS, and begin your experience with gun safety information and shooting fundamentals. Once you’re trained, you will have the opportunity to practice your skills on the range. You will be led by Certified Instructors from the USCCA. All firearms, ammunition, safety equipment, and safety officers will be provided for you to make your experience fun, easy, and safe! After two hours of shooting, regroup at Lucky Joe’s for cocktails, food, and cigars. No experience necessary. Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 4:00 pm.
