The Zipbolt UT requires a simple 5mm Allen key or hex bit as a driving tool and this ensures a very positive engagement. The NEW all metal Zipbolts which now have diecast gear housing are more durable and are able to achieve even higher torque levels than previously.

SPECIFICATION

The ZIPBOLT UT MINI Line Borad is the result of an engineering challenge to retain Zipbolt’s UT design and to scale down the size while retaining the strength, we did it! It is only 12.5mm or 1/2” thick in profile with all metal housing. This model allows the user to install the connector by passing the shaft through the bored edges and assembling the panels thereby only revealing the housing holes (25mm), this is in contrast to full surface machining.

The Zipbolt 10.835 is the same profile as the 10.800 low profile connector perfect for material as thin as 16mm or 5/8”. This longer model (135mm) is desirable when a greater setback is required from the edge of the top and can be useful in avoiding cabinet railing giving the installer more room. Quick assembly saves time and money.

The Ultra Slim Zipbolt 18.100 has again tested engineering limits and we have been able to reduce the profile thickness to 10mm without compromising torque/tensioning especially relative to the size reduction. The requests for such a connector came from the countertop industry with the development of HPL and Compact laminate being very slim, approximately 13mm there was a need to have a mechanical fastener to pull and hold these materials together. The 18.100 also has a difference in the drive tool used, in this model a Torx bit size T25 is needed and this offers extremely positive engagement of the bit into the drive housing, we suggest using a hand ratchet driver or a power tool with a torque setting.

This is a Great New Accessory for cut-out preparations in countertops, worktops and panels suiting five Zipbolt models, 10.700, 10.600, 10.500, 10.800 and 10.900. Simply align the marked Zipbolt model on the Template with the edge of the top then squaring off with the centre line and secure with appropriate screws. Using a router with the specified bit and bushing it will take seconds to prepare the cut-out giving you an accurate and clean provision to use your chosen Zipbolt connector. This is a very usefully addition to your tool kit which can be used in the workshop or out on the field or worksite.
