Lectric Playboy was a very successful cutting horse and sire of over $1 million in earnings. He is the product of the Freckles/Rey Jay cross on top. He was out of a granddaughter of the great Okie Leo son of Leo and Sorrel Sue by King P-234.
The blood of Rey Jay crossed on Jewel's Leo Bar (Freckles) produced the 1976 NCHA Open Futurity Champion and Co-Reserve Champion in Colonel Freckles and Freckles Playboy. This has proven to be one of the all-time great nicks that has had a major impact on the performing American Quarter Horse. Photo Courtesy Curl Talamadge Three Bars (TB) Farafield Star. In the next issue we will look at the dam’s side of the pedigree and the Scott Ranch breeding program, filling in some more of that mirror image we see in these two champions.
