Bring Your School Alive BeatFeet works with schools, nurseries and community groups all round the country. In fact we are now involved in a new venture bringing children and schools from different countries together in a new initiative. The project will see children singing and taking part in nursery rhymes from around the world and exchanging them from Africa to Britain, and from France to the Caribbean. If you would like to know more about anything that BeatFeet can do for your school or community then call us or visit us at our website.

Welcome to the world of BeatFeet. Since 2005 there have been workshops and drumming sessions for children from as young as two, right the way through early years and up to senior school level too.

“Beatfeet promotes communication and creativity in our children. They take the rhythms and songs from the workshops and bring them out in the playground and classroom. The learning goes very deep”

Children of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs have all benefited from learning a new way to communicate and to express themselves. Teachers regularly comment on how a whole school’s atmosphere changes magically when children get so engaged in learning in a fun yet structured environment that enables every one to shine. Whether you are an inner city school or a rural or suburban establishment you will gain hugely from this traditional teaching style that has been used since time immemorial. y is m e l c cir the laying n i .” yone ’re all p y happy r e v e r w ve ee el lik because me feel e f “I d s frien It make . ther toge

“I don’t usually like joining in. I think I’m a bit shy. I like drumming with Jude though because she makes us all feel like shining stars” When children take part in drumming as a • group activity they discover just how vibrant other traditions and cultures can be. • Sessions include not just drumming, but new languages, customs and lives. All is revealed through music and rhythm.

Releases aggression and also helps people express themselves

Music also helps break down barriers in • other everyday situations and brings a wide range of additional benefits such as:

A great physical outlet. Drumming increases energy levels, burns calories and increases circulation generally.

• • •

Increasing children’s self esteem and self belief Lengthening attention span Showing how teamwork gets better results

Develops a sense of self – as children learn their own style of playing they can feel more comfortable as an individual

It is a great all round work out, without the children even realising. For more information about how BeatFeet can help you do call, text or email. We are here to help you however we can.
