Mighty Oaks Academy Trust

Our Offer

Welcome Welcome to Mighty Oaks Academy Trust (MOAT) - a vibrant, forward thinking collaborative primary phase Multi Academy Trust (MAT). I am extremely proud to Chair this child-focused Trust. With fellow Trustees, Members and Local Academy Committees, we give our full support to our school leaders and Executive Team, led by our accomplished and determined Chief Executive Officer to ensure our collective vision for all our children is achieved. I have been privileged to Chair this Trust through a rapid period of change, consolidating our many strengths, and making key improvements to benefit all our stakeholders. This strategic plan is very exciting as it provides the platform for MOAT to accelerate recent developments to ensure all our stakeholders can engage with and deliver on our mission. Recent work has focused on developing a sustainable Trust with a dedicated and talented Executive Team and excellent School Leaders at our core. The Executive Team and School Leaders, led by our Chief Executive Officer, are driving the positive changes that are illustrated throughout the strategic plan. Such commitment and determination, at all levels of the organisation will ensure all our pupils receive the very best quality of education that gives them a very strong foundation from which to fulfil their dreams and aspirations. Every child is important at MOAT and all colleagues work hard to ensure high quality support systems, extensive enrichment opportunities and wrap around care are key features in each of our schools. This is underpinned by the culture that Trust Leaders, Trustees and Local Academy Committees have worked hard to develop. A culture where MOAT’s common collaborative approach and purpose is clear, but the individual character and personality of our schools is maintained and celebrated. Trustees and Trust Leaders have worked hard to secure a stable financial platform to ensure we have a sustainable future, and are able to grow our Trust and continue to provide excellent resources to benefit our pupils. Warm wishes,

Keith Hall, Chair of Trustees

Buildwas Academy Buildwas Academy is set in a traditional Victorian building in the beautiful countryside close to the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site and Ironbridge Museums. Our position, overlooking the River Severn, adds to the charm. Our school has a strong tradition, educating children since 1855, using the community and extensive local resources provided by the local and wide Shropshire area. Children are taught in four mixed-age classrooms with our Pre-School provision seamlessly fitting into in our mixed Reception/Pre-School class. We offer education for 3 – 11 year olds within the Buildwas, Leighton and Eaton Constantine parishes and the surrounding Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire areas. Buildwas Academy is a school that endeavours to make each child feel valued as an individual, within a community that cares. At Buildwas we realise the importance in equipping children with the appropriate academic and physical skills. We try to instil in them correct social and moral values and, most importantly, stimulate and motivate them to achieve the highest levels of confidence, enjoyment and success in all that they do.
