WELCOME

Since 1936, the Midlothian Chamber has been providing much-needed services and resource information to local businesses – that’s almost a century of Chamber Excellence! When I reflect on what previous leaders set forth to accomplish in the midst of the Great Depression, I feel certain they would be proud of the Program of Work that the Midlothian Chamber of Commerce is presenting these days.

In addition to regular Chamber activities, we have several thriving committees (made up of volunteers) that are making their mark on the organization and the community, including:

• Education / Small Business Training • Ambassadors

• Leadership Midlothian

• Legislative Affairs • Wine & Arts Festival

• Golf Tournament and more…

A region’s success metrics can be linked to how well the business community is doing. We are fortunate to have a growing list of flourishing businesses in our area that make our quality of life second to none. As a resident of Midlothian, I have a vested interest in this community and the economic climate here. I am happy to report that Midlothian continues to rate as one of the metroplex’s best areas to work and live –DFW’s Southern Star. The Chamber is fortunate to work alongside many community partners in government, education, healthcare, real estate and more. We are proud to bring this publication that tells Midlothian’s story to potential new residents, businesses and visitors.

Where City Pride is Justified

If you have ever encountered a Midlothian resident – recent or long-time – you know we are a proud bunch. It is not uncommon in our community to hear residents debating about who loves Midlothian more. This intense sense of pride is expressed in our school district’s motto, “MISD Proud,” and in the city’s tagline where Midlothian shines as a “Southern Star.” Having grown up in the Dallas area, it didn’t take me too long to relocate my family and business to Midlothian in 1996 after moving us back to Texas from out of state. By some standards, I might be considered a newcomer to the city. It is with an understanding and appreciation of this intense city pride that I approach every decision I make as mayor. Above all, decisions must be made to preserve the unique character of our town. A character that has its roots in agriculture, industry, faith, education and community.

It’s difficult to pinpoint one source responsible for this sense of pride. No doubt, the excellence of our schools supports this notion, as do our churches, our business community and the natural beauty of the city itself. Whatever its source, community pride is one of Midlothian’s core values and it is represented in everything we do, including residential and business development, community special events, public safety services and the many other city amenities and attributes that you will read about in the Welcome Guide.

Whether you are coming to Midlothian to visit, work or live, be prepared to get attached and get involved. And don’t be surprised if you find yourself arguing with someone about why you love Midlothian more than they do.

Banking has changed a lot over the years, and while Pinnacle offers the latest conveniences, such as online banking, mobile banking, free checking and online home loans, there are some things that haven’t changed. Like our commitment to knowing your name, answering the phone and treating customers as neighbors.

Pinnacle Bank first opened its doors about 30 miles south of Fort Worth in Keene. The bank was welcomed as a neighbor and an important part of the community. That tradition has continued for more than 40 years now. From as far north as Springtown, west to Granbury, down to Cleburne, and south to Midlothian, Pinnacle Bank grew one community bank at a time.

Pinnacle Bank branches offer a variety of banking products including checking, savings and money market accounts. We also offer mobile and online banking, Visa debit cards, credit cards and a wide array of lending services from small business loans to home mortgage loans. Our investment products include certificates of deposit, HSA investment accounts, IRAs and access to an in-house investment advisor.

The bank’s Midlothian Branch offers two ATM LIVE service machines. With our ATM LIVE, we combined technology and convenience of an ATM with the human touch of a teller. Using the ATM LIVE, speak with a teller via real-time video and receive the same quality of personal assistance you would if you walked into the branch. Use ATM LIVE 7 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Saturday. These machines also work as a traditional ATM 24/7.

One of the things that sets Pinnacle Bank apart is its educational programs for customers, which include banking education, a cybersecurity guide for customers, product education videos and FDIC MoneySmart training.

Pinnacle Bank puts a strong emphasis on its Core Values, which are: Unconditional Customer Satisfaction, Stability, Innovation, Integrity, Community and Education. The bank is committed to investing in people, in passions and in the places where we live and work.
