Welcome to Midlothian
We are excited to have you join our community.
Midlothian, Texas, is home to several manufacturers, including Holcim, the leading cement producer in the United States. We have been a proud member of the Midlothian community for nearly four decades, and generations of our employees, retirees and their families all live in the area. Midlothian is a beautiful community where we all live, work and play, so we keep health and safety at the forefront of everything we do.

We have also contributed to a number of local projects that have helped build Midlothian into the bustling community it is today. Whether you run into one of our 100+ team members volunteering at a community clean-up event or planting trees along Midlothian Parkway, know that we are committed to supporting our people and environment.

Our parent company, LafargeHolcim, is the number one building solutions provider in the world, and it is wholeheartedly committed to reinventing how the world builds to make it greener, smarter and healthier for all. As the global leader in the construction materials industry, we have both the opportunity and responsibility to make a positive difference.
Recently, LafargeHolcim announced it is accelerating green construction by joining the net-zero pledge with science-based targets. We will look at every possible way to decrease our carbon footprint and improve the world we live in. Whether it’s advancing carbon capture technology at our plants or harnessing renewable energy and alternative fuels, we are committed to protecting our employees, communities and the environment around us.
What does this mean for Midlothian? As part of a global effort to adopt more sustainable products, earlier this year, our facility was the first cement plant in the country to fully convert to Portland limestone cement (PLC). Today, we proudly offer OneCem® – a durable, high-performance concrete that lowers the carbon footprint – to help customers meet sustainable construction goals and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. We will continue investing in greener and more responsible ways of operating for years to come.
How we work with the community
We created the Community Advisory Committee (CAC), which includes representatives from the city, school district, environmental groups as well as civic leaders and area residents, to improve and promote communication between our operations and those who call Midlothian home.

Throughout the past 30 years, we have donated 100 acres of land to the City of Midlothian to create Mockingbird Nature Park, funded expansions to the Midlothian Senior Center to meet growing attendance, and provided approximately $50,000 to fund Midlothian Independent School District’s grant program supporting STEM activities.
