Safe Mobility at the Speed of Life
Life moves fast,
so our sensors must move faster.
MICROVISION’S AUTOMOTIVE LIDAR.
ENGINEERED FOR SAFET Y.
OUR MISSION MicroVision has been a pioneer in MEMS-based laser beam scanning technology—integrating optics, hardware, algorithms, and software into proprietary systems—for over 25 years. Built on our differentiated intellectual property, we’ve powered some of the most innovative augmented reality and consumer lidar products for leading companies worldwide. Today, we apply our expertise and success to automotive lidar.
R E S O L U T I O N AT R A N G E MicroVision’s lidar sensor delivers high resolution at range, detecting smaller objects from longer distances and identifying them clearly. The ability of our technology to provide resolutions as low as 0.03 degrees ranging up to 250 meters will improve path planning for customers focusing on autonomous driving or allow ADAS safety measures to be applied quickly, even at highway speeds. Our automotive lidar product family includes several sensors that can output point cloud as high as 16 million points per second. This generates a 3D visualization of the world around us, making safety possible at the speed of life.
V E LO C I T Y & L AT E N C Y With our lidar sensor’s ability to measure and report the velocity of objects in any scenario—laterally and axially—we can understand their paths and help predict their trajectories. Our sensors update the position and velocity of moving objects 30 times per second. This enables fast and accurate path planning to anticipate where objects will end up and improve driver safety.
INTERFERENCE IMMUNITY MicroVision’s lidar sensor will work across a range of ambient environments, from bright sunlight to nighttime driving conditions. Our sensor is free of interference from all other lidars. This is achieved through our proprietary technology that provides immunity from all types and wavelength lidar products.
O U R T EC H N O LO G Y MicroVision’s lidar sensors are based on our proprietary 905-nanometer time-of-flight technology that achieves Class 1 compliance. Our intellectual property is used by top-tier companies to solve the most demanding technological challenges, demonstrating high reliability and cost advantages.
