EDITOR’S LETTER

from the editor

At Michigan Snowmobiler and ORV we are always looking for new ways to share stories of our great state. This week our story comes for nearly next door to our own back yard. A close family friend was able to buy about 55 acres of ground with his brother. We were lucky enough to be invited over to enjoy some relaxed family time the day after the purchase. Three generations gathered in a shed while a short lightening storm passed overhead. Then we were off for a quick side by side tour of the new property.

It was gorgeous. Even though it was 4 in the afternoon it felt closer to 9pm because the trees and brush were so dense. We had just enough space to get through on a really nicely maintained side by side trail that looped through the 55 acre parcel. With a little imagination it felt like we were in the Upper Peninsula not within a 60 mile drive of the Metro area.

For all of our readers, take a moment and enjoy a memory of your favorite Michigan place – wherever it may be. Never take for granted our great state and all that it has to offer. This state never ceases to amaze me. It always seems to have a new secret area of beauty tucked away just waiting to be enjoyed and cherished.
