Did you know you should wash your pillows every three months? For those that aren’t “dry clean only,” wash them in warm water and LEGACY OF CLEAN Delicate Detergent on the gentle cycle. If your pillows can go in the dryer (check the care instructions), throw some tennis balls in with them to fluff them while they’re drying.

Step 2 – Pour distilled water in one of the glasses until it is approximately 2/3 full. Step 3 – Pour the same amount of tap water into the other glass. Step 4 – Watch each glass. After just one minute, the solution in the hard tap water glass will turn cloudy. The solution in the distilled water glass will remain clear because it contains no minerals Be sure to dispose of detergent solutions (or use them to do some laundry!) and wash the glasses at the end of the demonstration to avoid accidental ingestion.

MATERIALS NEEDED • LEGACY OF CLEAN TRI-ZYME Detergent Booster • 2 32-oz. (1 L) jars with lids • Cow’s milk (whole, half percent, skim, etc.), not cream • Distilled white vinegar • 1 teaspoon • 1 pair of black knee-high nylon hose • Hot water (120ºF/45ºC) • 2-cup measuring cup • Watch • Sink
DIRECTIONS Prep Time: about 1 minute Demo Time: about 10 minutes Step 1 – Pour ½ cup (120 mL) of milk into each of the two jars. Add two tsp. of the distilled white vinegar. Let the vinegar sit in the milk for one minute. During this time, be careful not to shake the jars. Because vinegar is acidic (much like a baby’s tummy), the milk protein will begin to curdle, creating solid chunks. Step 2 – After one minute, add two cups (500 mL) of hot water to each of the jars. Add ½ tsp. (3 mL) of LEGACY OF CLEAN TRI-ZYME Detergent Booster to one of the jars. Put the lids on both jars and shake vigorously for about a minute. Step 3 – Remove the lids and stretch one of the knee-highs over the open end of each jar. Now pour the contents of the containers down the drain (through the knee-highs) at the same time. You’ll notice that the fluid in the detergent booster-treated jar moves freely and quickly out of the jar. The fluid in the other jar will come out much more slowly. In fact, it will probably stop pouring altogether at some point. If this happens, use your hands to slowly squeeze out the curdled milk until the liquid is gone. Step 4 – Once the liquid is gone, remove both knee-highs from the jars and turn them inside out. The sock from the LEGACY OF CLEAN TRI-ZYME Detergent Booster-treated jar will be virtually residue-free while the other sock will be full of curdled milk protein.

Step 3 – Spray fabric softener solution on the surface of one balloon. While the solution is drying, rub the other balloon against your clothing. Step 4 – Hold the untreated balloon up to a wall and release it. The balloon will cling to the wall using static electricity. Step 5 – Once the balloon you’ve sprayed with the fabric softener is dry, rub that balloon against your clothing, then attempt to stick it on the wall next to the other balloon. It won’t stick!

White Socks Recipe • One scoop of SA8 +BIOQUEST Concentrated Detergent. ®

• One scoop of All Fabric Bleach. • One scoop of Tri-Zyme Detergent Booster. • Dirty white socks. 1. Set your washer to the “normal” or “cotton sturdy” cycle and select warm water. Add All Fabric Bleach and Tri-Zyme Detergent Booster, then your dirty socks. Make sure your load isn’t too large so there is plenty of space for the socks to move around. 2. Once the washer has begun to agitate, stop the cycle and let the load pre-soak for 30 minutes. 3. Add SA8+BIOQUEST detergent and complete the wash cycle.
How does it work? The “dirt” on socks is typically a combination of soils, like clay, and grass stains. The soil can get stuck in the fabric of your socks, so you need to shake out all the dirt with lots of agitation (hence the importance of having room to move and using a vigorous wash cycle). Tri-Zyme Detergent Booster and SA8+BIOQUEST Detergent have special enzymes to break down protein stains like grass. And the All Fabric Bleach helps keep whites their whitest. Don’t have time to pre-soak? Add all the “ingredients” at the beginning, then at the end of the wash cycle (usually about 10–15 minutes), stop the timer before the washer begins to drain and reset it to the beginning of the cycle. This uses no extra water, just extra agitation to shake out the dirt particles.

DIRECTIONS Prep Time: about 2 minutes Demo Time: about 2 minutes Step 1 – Fill the drinking glass about half full of tap water and place it on the tray. Step 2 – Put the straw in the glass and blow some bubbles in the water. Step 3 – Dip the very end of the straw into the LEGACY OF CLEAN DISH DROPS Concentrated Dish Liquid to get just a drop on the end of the straw. Step 4 – Put the straw back into the water and blow into again. Repeat until the tray is full of bubbles.
