Baby Names Compiled by Social Security, the list is out of the most popular baby names of 2013. For the third year in a row Sophia tops the list for girls and Noah takes the top spot this year for boys.
So we know all about the most popular names in the US and New York, but what about Staten Island? We asked you on FB what your favorite baby names were and this is what you had to say. Andrea Sene: Let’s bring Renee back for a girl. Andreana Marjorie Powell: My son is Harper Grayson. Those are my two favorites for a boy followed by Gage and Trent. I like Josephine, Holly and Savannah for a girl. Tara Arneman Serrano: My daughter is Emma. This will always be one of my favorite names.

Once again we turned to Facebook to find out what some of your favorite location names were. Paola Schirripa-Reich, Jacqueline Rodriquez Ocasio, Alexandra Alonso, and Sylwia Polak-Szymanski all agreed that Brooklyn was the best location name while Lori Del Percio and Diane Anselmo Greaves leaned towards Savannah. A few other names our readers liked were Sienna, Dallas, and Arizona. Deborah Sue Cirincione had a challenge for all Island parents when she said,“I dare one mother to name her child Staten Island! Then I will be impressed!”
