On arrival at the December 8th meeting members were greeted with a delicious glass of mulled wine.
Chairlady Angela Harvey had promised a short AGM at the beginning of the meeting and she kept to her word! Cups were awarded for the winners of the flower arrangement competitions held throughout the year including flower of the month, novice, intermediate and advanced levels.
We were entertained by our surprise flower arranger, Lorna Hill. Lorna is a long-time supporter and club member. We enjoyed a wonderful demonstration by Lorna, and her varied arrangements showed her creative flair along with her extremely original ideas. She also shared some useful tips and techniques with her audience. The arrangements were included as prizes in our grand Christmas raffle. Throughout the year, Bromsgrove Flower Club meets every third Thursday of the month at 2pm at All Saints Church Hall, Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove, B60 1AF. We welcome both existing members and new members, so do come and join us at our next meeting on Thursday, February 16th when our demonstrator will be Carole Stokes from Pinks Florists at Becketts Farm, Wythall. Carole has chosen ‘Love in Whicker’ as her title. It sounds intriguing so do join us. The competition title is ‘Love is ...’ Subscription fees are due and membership costs £40 with an entrance fee of £3 for members. Visitors’ entrance fee will be £8.
