Education for all During the 1970s and Education act was passed for all Handicapped children in the US. This act was enacted by the United States government in 1975. The Education Act for all Handicapped Children require all public schools to accept federal funds to provide equal access to education and one free meal a day to children with physical and mental disabilities. Public schools in the US were required to evaluate children with disabilities and create an educational plan that would have parent input that would emulate as possible to the experience of kids who don’t have disabilities. This act was part of the amendment in part B of the Education of the Handicapped Act enacted in 1966. The Act also required that school districts provide administrative procedures so that parents of disabled children could dispute decisions made about the education their children are getting. Once the administrative efforts were exhausted, parents were then authorized to seek judicial of the decisions made by the administration. Previously before the enactment of EHA parents had the choice to take their disputes to the judiciary under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Furthermore the PL 94-142 also contains a provision that disabled students should be placed in the least confining environment one that gives the maximum opportunity to interact and with children who don’t have a disability.

Overall the The Education Act

for all Handicapped Children helped improve the individual needs and the improving results infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities and their families. Last week the most important thing happened. Education is the most important thing that any human can have so why don’t Handicapped Students have an equal education to those who don’t have a disability. So before this act was passed kids with Handicaps didn’t get an equal education, but that’s what's amazing last week the act for Education for All Handicapped Children was passed. This is amazing because kids with handicaps are just as equal to those who don’t have a disability. Now they can have a similar education to those without disabilities and can prosper through everyday tasks.

Fashion Trends Low waisted pants and high cut boots are very hot right now, so are bell bottoms. Very tight fitted clothe and bright colors are highly fashionable right now. Some of the best cloth produced nowadays perfectly blend the mods with the hippies. Now women also can freely wear pants. During summer women wear very short shorts and skin tight t-shirts. Suits are also very in nowadays to my business ladies out there. Hair on today's society is perfectly natural. With every year, pants were flaring wider and wider. It was common for a pair of women’s wide-flare slacks to have 32″ around the bottom of the leg hem.

A Game of Remembrance The 1973 Sugar Bowl will always be remembered as one of the most exciting football games of all time. The Sugar Bowl took place on December 31, 1973 at Tulane stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. The teams in this bowl were the most elite in college football consisting of Alabama Crimson Tide of the Southeastern conference who faced the independent Fighting Irish also known as Notre Dame. This game is one of the most highest rating games in college football history. The scoring was back and forth between Alabama and Notre Dame the whole game. The game first started with Notre Dame getting on the board early lead with Wayne Bullock scoring the touchdown, but missing the extra point opportunity. With the second quarter up and running Alabama took the lead with a great touchdown by Randy Billingsley but that wasn’t enough Notre Dame responded by a 93 yard touchdown off kickoff to put the Irish up 14-7. Next Alabama cut the lead to only four because of a 39 yard field goal, right before halftime. At the end of the third quarter Notre Dame was up 21 to 17 to Alabama. Lastly the 4th quarter came and Notre Dame responded with a 19 yard field goal to put them up.

Furthermore it was a Notre Dame who had 24 points to Alabama who had 23 points with only four minutes and twenty-three seconds on the clock in the last quarter. However even though Alabama battled to gain back the lead Notre Dame pulled off the win. What a game, I was so lucky I got to attend the 1973 Sugar Bowl. The Sugar Bowl is an annual American College Football game that is played in New Orleans, Louisiana. Personally I was happy that Notre Dame won because I love their style of play and all their players on the roster. It was the most exciting game ever. There were so many lead changes I couldn’t even count them. Overall this was the most exciting bowl game in history and I hope there are many more to come in the future.

The Watergate scandal One of the biggest political scandals that happened during the 1970s was the break in by five men at the Democratic National Committee headquarters at the Watergate Office Complex in Washington DC. The Watergate Scandal lasted approximately 2 years from 1972 during and after the Presidential Election and through to 1974. The two Candidates who were running for the 1972 Presidential Election were former President and Republican Richard Nixon and Democrat George McGovern. During the election a janitor discovered clues that five former FBI and CIA agents broke into the Offices of the Democratic Party months before the election. The former FBI and CIA agents listened to the phone lines, and they stole secret papers. This act was against the law, because of this event the FBI investigated and discovered a connection between cash found on the burglars.

a slush fund used by the Committee for Re-Election for the President. So when these men were found it happened to be that Nixon was involved in the scandal. Nixon even helped them cover it all up and he may have even paid them to do it. The result of this was the resignation of President Richard Nixon on August 9, 1974, because he was afraid of being impeached. That wasn’t the only thing that Nixon was accused of during the scandal, Nixon was accused of covering up activities that took place after the break-in and even used the federal issues to deflect the investigation. Another result of the watergate scandal was the result of the indictment of 69 people with the trial or plead resulting in 48 people that were found guilty.

Watergate Continued One event that was a big deal during the Watergate Scandal was the the break in by the 5 former FBI and CIA agents at the Democratic Party’s headquarters on January 27, 1972, and the terrible scheme that took place in there by Nixon and his men. It all started with G. Gordon Liddy, Finance counsel for the Committee for the Re-Election of the President or also know as (CRP) and former aide to John Ehrlichman. John Ehrlichman was the counsel and the assistant to President Nixon about foreign affairs. John Ehrlichman presented a campaign intelligence plan to CRP’s Acting Chairman Jeb Stuart Magruder, Attorney General John Mitchell and Presidential Counsel John Dean that involved extensive illegal activities against the Democratic Party. According to John Dean this event marked the opening of the worst political scandal in 20th century history, and because of this Nixon's presidency was ended. At the time John Mitchell the Attorney General at the time though that the plan was unrealistic. Two months later Mitchell came to an agreement to a reduced version of the plan which included the burgurling of the Democratic National

, to photograph campaign documents and they were ordered to install listening devices in telephones. The individual who was usually in charge of the investigation was no other then Gordon Liddy but has said even to this day that he was duped by both John Dean and at least both of his subordinates which consisted of former CIA Officers E. Howard Hunt and James MCcord, the lather whom was serving as then-CRP Security Coordinator after John Mitchell had by then resigned as Attorney General to become CPR chairmen. Overall this act was unconstitutional and should hopefully never happen in the future again.

It was the craziest thing the day was January 27, 1972 and five men broke in to the Democratic National Headquarters at the WaterGate building in Washington D.C., and that wasn't the craziest thing, our former President Nixon was behind all of this. It’s hard to believe believe a former President would conduct these five men to

Vietnam War During the 70s The Vietnam War was a long, costly and a very decisive war.The battle was fought between North Vietnam who was supported by the Soviet Union, China and North Korea and they fought South Vietnam. South Vietnam wasn’t alone though, they were supported by the United States, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines. The Vietnam War lasted a tremendous 20 years it started on November 1, 1955 and lasted until April 30, 1975. During the Vietnam War there were many events for example one event was Operation Menu. Operation Menu was the codename of a covert United States Strategic Air Command bombing campaign that was conducted in Eastern Cambodia which is located in Asia. The Campaign took place from March 18, 1969 to May 26, 1970. Operation Menu was both part of the Vietnam War and the Cambodian Civil War. The targets of these attacks were Sanctuary and Air Base areas of the People’s Army of Vietnam. The People’s Army of

Navy, Air Force, Border Defence Force, and Coast Guard. Another big event that took place in the Vietnam War that happened in the 70s was Operation Linebacker. Operation Linebacker was the codename of a U.S. Seventh Air Force and U.S. Navy Task force 77 air inderiction campaign conducted against the Democratic Republic of Vietnam or also known as North Vietnam. Operation Linebacker lasted from May, 9 to October 1972, during the Vietnam War. The reason for Operation Linebacker was to halt or slow the transportations or supplies and materials for the Nguyen Hue Offensive. The Nguyen Hue Offensive was an invasion of the Republic of Vietnam by the force of the People’s Army of Vietnam. The attack was launched on March 30. American and the Republic of Vietnam Air Force aircraft supported the defense since the beginning of the offensive. The strikers were conducted in support of ArVN forces, and included those of the carriers such as the USS Coral Sea and the USS HANCOCK. Operation Linebacker was ordered by President Nixon. The attacks were known as the most intense air offense of the war.

Vietnam War in the 70s Continued The attacks were concentrated between Hanoi and Haiphong. There was nearly 20,000 bombs over densely populated regions. Furthermore another big event that took place in the Vietnam War that happened in the 70s was the Paris Peace Accord. With the Paris Peace Accord is was the official title of the agreement on ending the war and to restore peace in Vietnam. The treaty was signed on January 27, 1973 the day that marks the end of the Vietnam War. The treaty included the governments of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Vietnam and it also included the United States and the Provisional Revolutionary Government. The Provisional Revolutionary Government represented indigenous South Vietnamese Refugees.

The US had ground forces up to that point that had been sidelined with deteriorating morale and gradually withdrawn to coastal regions and had not been partaking in offensive operations or much direct conflict with the before two years. So in concluision the Paris Peace Accord officially ended the Vietnam War.

It was just overall crazy, finally the war is over. The Vietnam War has felt like a century but in reality lasted twenty years. Overall the war was so tragic with all the soldiers who were wounded and killed in battle. I can’t believe all the chaos that has been going through these 20 years. I am so grateful today that this war is over.
