COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER Ashley Lena Victor

Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Class of 2022

Ashley Victor is a proud Haitian American from Miramar, Florida. She attended the University of Florida where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders with a minor in Health Disparities. Prior to graduating, she spent time in community clinics working to improve access to resources for children and adults with disabilities to promote independent living. She has always found joy in helping others and advocating for change. Due to an interest in speech and language differences and disorders, she decided to pursue a career in speech language pathology. Her life passions include promoting cultural diversity in health care. During her time at the IHP, she has served as a Graduate assistant in the BEAM Lab and has aided in efforts to diversify the field by participating in initiatives that introduce health professions to high school students through the Boston Area Health Education Consortium. Ashley looks forward to a career working with medically complex patients in an acute care setting. In all she does, Ashley strives to build authentic and intentional relationships and connections with others and strives to be a servant leader to all.
