INTRODUCTION
Alt. Media Services is a family owned marketing and advertising firm located in Seattle, Washington who is expanding into a new office. The company is characterized by their bold identity and playful business office culture, as well, as their love for quirkiness and individuality. They are known for injecting humor into their campaigns in fun and creatively disruptive ways, embracing innovative approaches to their client’s brand identities and producing insightful, effective and award-winning work.
DESIGN STATEMENT
Design an environment that supports creativity and collaboration. Incorporate unexpected design elements, along with the classical office equipment, to boost productivity, inspiration and imagination; while complementing the firm’s brand character and mission.

Create a functional yet playful environment that complements the firm’s creative process and strong brand identity.

lt. Media Services, is a full-service advertising, marketing and production firm located in Seattle. The company specializes in creative marketing, with an offering of services that include graphic design, copywriting, advertising and PR, as well as, commercial printing, brand identity and web design. A family-owned business, Alt. MS states as its mission a commitment to “innovative solutions to communication challenges,” and is well-known within the corporate community in Seattle for its professional, creative approach. Steady growth in business and an effort to expand its advertising and identity branding services has led A.MS to look for new office. The space they have found, on the third floor of a renovated warehouse offers the chance to create an environment that supports the company’s mission and brand. The company leaders want to make a bold statement with this space, to make the space sell what A. MS does. In the past decade technology has forever changed the dynamics of the office work environment. The portability of the work station allows employees to move their work load wherever they need to go. Long gone is the “work at your desk” approach; now employees are able to work from remote locations or in places of were communal support and collaboration harvest innovation, boost effectiveness, and increase productivity. The modern office space embraces both private and collaborative work environments. In the creative industry group brainstorming and collaboration play an important role in the design and production processes. Open spaces with lounge seating and small tables for a laptop computer, or a large table to congregate around, as well as, large doodling surfaces are necessary equipment to present, discuss, explore and settle ideas, strategies or decisions. Private spaces are still needed in order to support individual production and independent brainstorming.

April 2, 2008 Teknion LLC Steelcase Haworth 102 Fancy St. Washington, DC 20006 Subject: Request for Proposals To whom it may concern; We would like to invite you to par�cipate in a bid proposal for the supply and installa�on of systems and casegoods furniture for Alt. Media, Inc. at 222 Art St. Phoenix, Arizona following the specifica�ons outlined in the a�ached bid package. Installa�on will occur in fall of 2009. Please find enclosed our Specifica�ons for supply and installa�on of furnishings, plans, diagrams and requirements for the systems needed. The furniture to be considered is as follows: A. Open Workstation Typicals: The floor plan for this installa�on contains one (1) worksta�on configura�on with two installa�on se�ngs. The height of these worksta�ons is 5’ 0” with a drop at 4’ 0” high on the storage tower side. The heights should be based on the manufacturer’s standard heights offered that are within 6” of variance. Refer to the a�ached typical drawings for more informa�on on components and materials. The finishes that would be used are medium cherry laminate finish for ver�cal surfaces, and dark gray laminate for countertops with straight edge finish. All worksta�ons shall include one (1) tack board next to the tower storage and one (1) plas�c grommet on the desk inner corner. On the le� wall eleva�on the top panel shall include a glass or similar finish panel. We ask that you provide pricing using standard parts and pieces, calling out in your plans where you vary from the typical. If the typical cannot be obtained using standard parts and pieces, please propose alternate pricing for typicals that meet Alt. Media’s requirements. A shared panel factor is to be included into the pricing of the sta�ons. Please refer to the a�ached coded floor plan for the loca�ons of shared panels. i. Provide brochures, plans, and axonometric drawings and technical specifica�ons of the typicals you price. ii. Warranty informa�on B. Office Typicals: The space plan includes two (2) private office sizes as shown in the typical drawings a�ached. We ask that you provide pricing using standard parts and pieces, calling out in your plans where you vary from our typical. Refer to the a�ached floor plans for loca�ons and
quan��es of each typical. All office typicals shall include one (1) metal grommet on the le� corner of the desk and one (1) metal grommet on the center of the credenza work counter. i. A complete descrip�on of the features of each product proposed, including drawings and technical specifica�ons. ii. Warranty Informa�on. While your specific pricing shall reflect the enclosed typicals, we also request that you provide a volume purchasing discount structure based on an�cipated quan��es of the en�re job. Alt. Media reserves the right to solely decide whether or not a proposal complies with the requirement defined in this RFP. Alt. Media also reserves the right to select a bidder on any basis, including not selec�ng a bidder based on lowest cost. Bidder’s prepara�on of the proposal response to this RFP is at its sole cost and expense. Alt. Media also reserves the right to modify the bid, upon selec�ng a vendor, to include any items for order not included, or any items reselected. Your proposal is due by 6:00 pm on April 25, 2008. INTRODUCTION Muse Consultants is a management consulting firm located in Norfolk, Virginia offering technical and program management expertise to Federal and commercial clients. They provide program management, business process re-engineering, and information and data solutions. Muse Consultants has recently moved to a new office space and would like to renovate the reception area and both meeting areas.
DESIGN STATEMENT
Design an elegant and inviting space that supports Muse Consultant’s image as a leading technology services company. Use light colored finishes, lighting and modern furnishings to portray their reliability, efficiently, and agile methodologies.
GOALS
Utilize Revit to produce a set of construction drawings and an architectural conceptual design presentation.
