DESIGN SOLUTION
Our client, a mature couple with adult children, wanted to update and expand their 30-year-old kitchen and large master bathroom, which was not working for their lifestyle. Their wishlist included relocating the main level laundry room to the basement, expanding the kitchen, creating an anteroom from the garage into the kitchen, adding a second refrigerator, increasing storage space, and providing working surfaces for cooks with different heights. In the master bath, they wished for a large accessible shower and fixtures that would serve them into their senior years and adding a second laundry station.
Design an elegant, chef-inspired kitchen that supports the family's love for cooking and entertaining their large extended family and friends. Evoque a spa feel in the master bath while incorporating elements that support the aging homeowners for the years to come.
As part of the design solution, the main laundry area got relocated to the basement storage room. The kitchen featured a dual height island, storage solutions for books and technology gadgets, and a commercial-grade workstation sink. A dry pantry replaced the laundry room. In the master bath, a single-person free-standing tub replaces the angled bathtub to allow for a large shower fitted with accessible fixtures. In addition, a closet in the master bathroom became the secondary laundry area with a stackable washer and vent-less dryer. v

Our client is a professional couple with young children who just purchased their forever home. The home is a custom-built home from the 1980s and was in dire need of an update. The wish list included updating the spacious kitchen that lacked the storage space and organization expected nowadays, improving the garage entryway's functionality to serve the sports-loving family better, and updating the powder room and fireplace.
Design a transitional kitchen with great tailored storage organization solutions, improve dysfunctional areas and provide updates that complement the architectural style of the house.
Design a contemporary kitchen and relocate the wall oven to make room for built-in pantry cabinetry. Replace the sliding door in the breakfast nook area with a window to improve the function of the space and provide flexibility in furniture arrangement options. Incorporate built-in cubbies to create a mudroom area in the garage entry hallway. Finally, do a sensible update in the powder room and family room fireplace.

DESIGN SOLUTION
Our clients, a professional empty-nester couple, wanted to update their kitchen and sun-room. Their wishlist for the kitchen included removing the low ceiling, custompainted cabinetry, upgraded appliances, and creating a mail and bill-pay station. For the rest of the house, they wanted to convert their sunroom into an all-season space by incorporating a fireplace; to renovate their guest bathroom, and add recessed lighting in their living room.
Design a kitchen that complements the large picture window view. Incorporate our client's favorite steal blue purse as inspiration for the cabinetry finish and overall color scheme. And improve the everyday functionality of high traffic areas by tailoring them to the client's needs.
As part of the design solution, the team custom-stained a wood sample to match the purse color and texture to serve as a sample for production for the cabinetry company. We provided special attention to remediating building code requirements, including adding two new kitchen counter outlets in a space with no wall, locating the enlarged capacity exhaust, and incorporating a ventless shallow fireplace.
